Plans and limits

Plans are metered on email addresses held and messages received. Devices are unlimited on every paid plan.

Plan Price Addresses Messages a month Devices Own domains API keys
Free $0 3 3,000 1 None No
Personal $7 25 50,000 Unlimited None No
Operator $15 250 500,000 Unlimited None Yes
Scale $19 1,000 2,000,000 Unlimited 10 Yes
Fleet $99 10,000 20,000,000 Unlimited 50 Yes
Enterprise By arrangement Custom Custom Unlimited Custom Yes

Every plan can use the API with a session token. API keys start at Operator.

Every address counts toward the plan, whether or not it is assigned to a device. Deleting one frees its place immediately. Creating one past the limit returns 402 allocation_exhausted. GET /inboxes/allocation says how many are left.

On every plan the server generates addresses: you choose a prefix and it adds a random ending, like payroll-x7k2@. From Scale you can choose the whole name, like sam@.

The monthly allowance counts mail arriving by email and mail delivered through POST /messages, in fixed 30-day periods. Once it is used, new mail is refused until the next period starts, and senders are told so. Single messages over 25MB are refused on every plan.

Free pairs one device; claiming a second returns worker_limit_reached. Paid plans pair unlimited devices, and on Free a device holds one address.

Moving to a cheaper plan is refused with downgrade_blocked if the account holds more addresses than that plan allows, or more than one device when moving to Free. Upgrades are paid for through checkout. See Billing.
